    Growth

Leadership experiences are an important element in the FHSU student experience.

    • Student Government Association
    • Online Student Senate (representing FHSU Online students)
    • Student-led organizations
    • Student Athletic Advisory Committee (Tiger Athletics)

I've learned a lot being here. I was super nervous when I started my freshman year. I didn't really talk a lot, I kind of just was there to do my job. And now I feel like I've learned a lot of stuff. I'm able to talk people professionally before I definitely was quiet and kind of stuck to myself. And now I'm more apt to go out and talk to people and get to know them.

Fort Hays has developed me to take on those leadership roles and to embrace change and help others. I've gotten involved like I went from no doing no clubs to like not getting anything done. Now I'm the Vice President of premier club. I'm a senator in student government. I'm a Tiger Team Orientation Leader.

I think I've gotten a lot more outgoing, maybe since I've been here. Just because I was able to meet so many new people.

I feel like I think things through more thoroughly than I ever did. I never really, you know, was afraid to do anything, I kind of always took chances. But now I see when I see opportunities. I don't let him go.

In college, you got to learn how to manage everything you're doing. So with athletics in school, you got to find a time to work on your game, work on your craft, as well stay stay focused in the classroom. So I think I've learned how to manage my time pretty well. I

have gained all the tools that I need in my professional tool belt with connections with the skills, the classes, the resources, the materials that for his has provided me and on campus employment in the classes in person, the internships that we're able to do the hands on experiences that you get here. I'm ready. I'm prepared. I'm excited.
